A senior official designated by the head of each agency to have agency-wide responsibilities for privacy, including the implementation of privacy protections; compliance with federal laws, regulations, and policies related to privacy; the management of privacy risks at the agency; and a central policy-making role in the agencyโ€™s development and evaluation of legislative, regulatory, and other policy proposals.
